AUTOMATION OUTLIERS Privacy policy

1. Scope

Automation Outliers is operated by Buy Box Group LLC ("Buy Box Group," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to automationoutliers.com, our waitlist and resource-request forms, and related browser or agent-accessible services that link to this policy (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you follow a link to another website or service, its privacy policy governs that service.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact details. Your email address and, when a form asks for it, your name.
  • Request and consent records. The resource or waitlist you requested, the source of the request, marketing consent, confirmation status, and related timestamps.
  • Communications. Information you include when you contact us or respond to our messages.

Information provided through an agent

An AI assistant or other agent may submit your contact details at your direction. For agent-initiated requests, we send a confirmation message and do not add you to the requested list unless you confirm.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and network data. IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and similar technical information.
  • Usage data. Pages viewed, referring pages, links or downloads selected, approximate timestamps, and interactions with the Services.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Session, security, analytics, and measurement identifiers used by us or our service providers.

We collect this information directly from you, from an agent acting at your direction, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers that help operate the Services.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • process waitlist and resource requests;
  • send confirmations, requested materials, launch news, and other marketing messages you agreed to receive;
  • remember preferences and understand how people use the Services;
  • detect spam, fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • debug, analyze, and improve performance; and
  • comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

Legal bases for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, performance of a contract or steps you request before entering one, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time, but withdrawal does not affect processing that already occurred lawfully.

4. How we disclose information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers. Vendors that support hosting, content delivery, email, security, analytics, forms, and other business operations. These currently include Hostinger, Cloudflare, and Google services such as Google Tag Manager and Google Fonts.
  • Professional advisers. Lawyers, accountants, insurers, and other advisers when reasonably necessary.
  • Authorities and other parties. When required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Services.
  • Business transaction participants. Parties involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business or assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising or use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

5. Cookies and analytics

The Services use essential cookies and similar technologies for functions such as session security, request validation, abuse prevention, and remembering your privacy choice. These technologies are needed to operate the Services.

With your permission, we load Google Tag Manager to manage analytics technologies. Depending on the analytics tags in use, providers may receive technical and usage data such as your IP address, device information, pages viewed, and interactions. Analytics remain off unless you select “Accept analytics.” Your choice is stored in your browser for up to six months.

You can decline analytics without losing access to the Services. You can also change or withdraw your choice at any time by selecting “Cookie choices” at the bottom of any page. You may additionally control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may cause parts of the Services to stop working.

Because we do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, the Services do not offer a separate opt-out for those practices. We will honor legally required browser-based opt-out signals if our practices change.

6. Marketing communications

We send marketing emails only after affirmative consent. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. We may retain limited information needed to honor your opt-out and may still send non-marketing messages about a request or transaction.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing requested materials, maintaining consent or suppression records, securing the Services, and meeting legal obligations. Unconfirmed agent-initiated requests are scheduled for deletion after their short confirmation and retention period. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information and applicable requirements.

8. Security and international transfers

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for transfers across borders.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • know whether we process your personal information and access a copy;
  • correct inaccurate personal information;
  • delete personal information;
  • receive a portable copy of certain information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent;
  • opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; and
  • appeal a decision we make about your request.

To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and request. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for business audiences and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If changes materially affect how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.
